Yarn Inventory

Yarn Inventory is a dedicated module for yarn control and movement tracking in knitwear manufacturing.

This module maintains a yarn-specific store ledger, separate from general inventory. Each yarn cone is tracked by count, blend, lot, and shade, with ageing visibility.

Not just that, it also manages yarn from purchase and receipt to issue for knitting and return from the shopfloor.

Yarn inventory maps each order’s BOM and BoQ requirement to available store lots, enabling reservation and allocation before issue. Each yarn movement is approval-controlled. Returns, adjustments, and decommission entries are recorded with quantities, references, and reasons.

With yarn inventory, factories can prevent over-issuing and reduce variance, buy the right yarn at the right time, control ageing and dead stock, and maintain end-to-end traceability for clearer yarn usage visibility.
