Water Treatment Plant (WTP) treats raw water from rivers, lakes, or groundwater to make it safe for drinking and domestic use. It removes impurities, particles, and harmful microorganisms.

Types of WTP:

RWHP (Raw Water Headworks Pumping) – Pumps raw water from the source to the treatment plant.
IRP (Iron Removal Plant) – Removes excess iron from groundwater.
SP (Surface Water Plant) – Treats water from rivers or lakes.
DM Plant (Demineralization Plant) – Removes dissolved minerals from water.
RO Plant (Reverse Osmosis) – Uses membranes to remove salts and impurities.
