Effluent Treatment Plant

Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) treats industrial wastewater using physical, chemical, and biological processes to remove pollutants. The treated water can be reused or safely discharged without harming the environment.

Sources: Power plants, food industry, chemical and petroleum industries, pulp and paper, textile mills, pharmaceuticals, agro and fish processing.

Types:
Chemical ETP – Uses chemicals to remove contaminants.
Biological ETP – Uses microorganisms (e.g., ASP, MBR, MBBR, SBR).
